About Us

The film and TV production company 8Heads Productions, established in 2010 in Prague, aims to produce strong author-based projects, involving close cooperation of the screenwriter, director and producer.
The founder of the company, Julietta Sichel, is a Czech film producer, film theorist, historian, journalist and former festival organizer: from 1995 to 2005 she worked as a Programmer and Program Co-ordinator at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and from 2005 to 2010 she was the festival Program Director. Sichel has been a member of many international juries at festivals all around the world, served as a curator of a number of film retrospectives and different focuses. For her maintaining interest in Korean Cinema, Sichel received the prestigious Korean Cinema Award at the 16th Busan IFF 2011. The Award is annually bestowed to filmmakers who contribute to the advancement of Korean films in the international film industry.
Sichel started producing films in 2010, after founding her own production company.
When selecting her projects, Sichel combines strategic insight with a strong sense for stories that resonate across borders and generations. 8Heads Productions and its films or projects are annually present on at least 10 leading festivals, markets, financing and co-production platforms. The company has experience in co-producing with countries like Germany, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia and others.
Films produced or co-produced by 8Heads Productions were sold for several territories, received various film awards at home as well as abroad and were presented at numerous festivals around the world including Locarno, Busan, Karlovy Vary, Tallinn, Chicago, Jeonju, Trieste, Sarajevo, Zlín, Tokyo-Kineko, Montreal, Tromsø, Teheran, Raindance, Kiev and many others.
